About the project
The Trans.info portal is the largest information portal about the transport industry in Europe. It provides daily latest news, professional articles, reports and unique videos about transportation, logistics and trucking. The portal belongs to the Trans.eu Group, the owner of the largest freight and vehicle exchange in Europe.
Challenges
The client needed a modern information portal for the transport industry including content in the form of articles, video reports and short messages based on users’ preferences. The challenge incorporated choosing the technology and architecture to develop the new portal, and migrating the old platform to a new solution.
Solutions
The first step was to prepare a concept for the architecture of the new system. After analytical work and implementation, we tested automatic solutions. The second step was the migration of the content from the previous version of the system and all necessary integrations with internal systems. This stage ended with the launch of the online system and took less than 3 months. After the implementation, we developed automatic tests and constantly new features are added.
