Trans.eu is one of the biggest freight exchanges in Europe. It connects every day thousands of carriers, shippers and forwarders in order to transport freights all over the continent. Such a large number of the exchange members poses a challenge for users who want to find credible contractors quickly. This is how the idea of TransRisk occurred – a business credibility index.
What have we done within TransRisk?
The most important part of undertaken works was related to collecting information from various sources. The information include, among other things, the information about the issued invoices and their status, the number of transactions and offers and the order status. On the basis of the data a specially prepared algorithm calculates the scoring of companies. The algorithm is daily updated on the Trans.eu exchange and it is accessible for all users. Currently, the TransRisk algorithm contains over 170 000 events which every time calculate all variables.
To implement the project we used a rich technology which included, among other things: Java, Spring, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Amazon S3, Kibana, Microbatching, Grafana, Consul with an admixture of data science.
Such a big number of variables and the desire to constantly improve the algorithm pose huge challenges. That is why I value cooperation with fireup.pro in constant development of the solution. Our plans are equally interesting.
